Juneau has an average of 222 days of rain, September being one of the rainiest months recovering 11 to 15 inches of rain. We got lucky and had another sunny day. Our planned excursion today was booked through Viator-Bikes, Glacier Views, and Microbrews in Juneau.  A flat, scenic 8.5-mile bike ride through the lush rainforests of the Mendenhall Valley. Sightseeing: A 45-minute stop to explore the massive Mendenhall Glacier, walk the boardwalks, and take photos. The Reward: A finish line at Forbidden Peak Brewery in Auke Bay for a custom flight of local craft beer. This was booked for 130pm

Nugget Falls is a spectacular 377-foot two-tier waterfall located near the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska.

We also did a short morning hike prior to our bike ride along the Preservence Trail located about 2 miles from the ship. A bit of an uphill climb to get out of town but a nice hike on a Sunny day.

😎

Finally no visit to Juneau is complete without a visit to the Red Dog Saloon, and try their signature drink the Duck Fart, consisting of Kahlua, Bailey’s and Canadian Whiskey. We we’re told not to stir or sip it, but treat it as a shot.
